Mari, I am so happy for you. I spoke to your mother yesterday and she told me the great news. I will continue to keep you in my prayers (both you and your fiance) and i know that God will work wonders.
I will be in the US sometime in October this year (after 5 long years) and I hope to get a chance to see you and catch up).
May the Lord richly bless you both and increase you in His own perfect way, and may you fall more in love with each other as the years go by.
You're both very welcome to visit Kenya and take in the sights.

OUR LITTLE GIRL IS ALL GROWN UP!!!!!!!!
Now, its time for her to adorn the joys and happiness of becoming Mrs. Christopher Yawn.
My cherished thoughts and memories recall the happiness of Darleen's pregnancy with Mari-Alistine when she traveled to Hawaii and shared the wonderful news with me.
To those I have not met, Mari's mother and I were college roomates and God continues to shine His love and light over our relationship over the years.
Christopher and Mari, it is this GIFT OF LIGHT that I pray will shine over your partnership as husband and wife. I pray that each day brings you a ray of hope and brightens your way with God's loving guidance and graces.
As you go forth together as ONE, go in God's light and love for you and the love you share.
Remember, God is your partner to brighten your happiness and comfort you in troubles.
He will always be with you to help you find your way and strengthen you through your journey.
Stay happy, be at peace with each other and always remember- "A family that prays together stays together."
Mei Makua ho'omaikai ko'u pilina. (may God bless your union)
Love and Aloha, Tu

Our hearts are filled with joy and anticipation as we watch the unfolding and intertwining of two precious lives, Mari and Chris. Mari, of course, never ceases to amaze us with her gifts, talents and commitment to the Lord's journey for her life which has led to such a wonderful relationship with Mr. Christopher Yawn. Chris is equally amazing...He is strong, loyal, visionary with depth of commitment to his life purpose as well. These two make a "team" as Chris says to help change the world through their love of working with young people of this generation. We could not be happier about this match...made in heaven! Thank you Christopher and Mari for your vision for the Lord. With Him in the center of your relationship, you can not fail!!! We love you two soooo much! Mom Darleen and Dad Walt

I must start by saying how lucky I feel Mari is to have Chris in her life, for I know him well--I am the mother of this wonderful man. I am so proud of my Christopher. I have come to know Mari and also feel the great tresure my son has found. I see the perfect match that these two young people make. Chris and Mari, I wish you a long healthy, happy and spiritually fulfilled life together. I feel our dinner "debates", have started a tradition, which I want to continue with all my wonderful new daughters!!!
