Our Story
This relationship was meant to be.
Chris and Mari met on the campus of Hampton University where Chris studied Sociology and Mari studied Psychology. Both wanted to help young people and never knew that their shared passion and ideas would one day re-connect. At Hampton, Chris and Mari developed a friendship that at the time neither knew would one day turn into a special true love.
After Graduation each went their separate ways but as irony would have it, their lives were constantly intersecting. For example, after Hampton Mari ended up working in New York City in the television and music industry while Chris was in Cleveland, Ohio teaching in public schools. When Mari returned to Canton, Ohio (1 hour away from Cleveland) and was inspired to develop her own youth organization and television show, Chris moved to New York City to teach and obtained his Masters degree. Chris then found out about a Doctoral program at Ohio State and moved to Columbus (2 hours away from Canton) and through a mutual friend from Hampton Damien Hardy- both Mari Moss and Christopher reconnected.
Again, neither one knew what would come of this reconnection, but GOD had a plan for their lives.
Chris came into Mari's life right before the death of her beloved Grandfather Adam Benjamin Thompson ( June 2006), and not only was Chris there for her at one of the most difficult times in her life but to their surprise they both developed a strong love for one another in the coming days, weeks, and years they dated.
In the time they spent together they realized the their love had grown into a deep friendship, bond, and connection stronger than either one had experienced ever before.
On Valentines Day 2008, Chris asked Mari to spend the rest of her life with him and she accepted.
They are planning a Caribbean wedding for (June 2009) in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, at Paradisus an all inclusive resort and are looking forward to sharing a life filled with happiness, prosperity, and love.
